    Action Researcher & Evaluator (PVL #90115)


    The Mobilizing Action Toward Community Health (MATCH) unit in the UW Population Health Institute (in the Department of Population Health Sciences in the School of Medicine & Public Health at UW-Madison) has an extensive history and current portfolio of funded community based initiatives, including training, technical assistance and consulting related to community change efforts.

    To meet increasing demand for collaborative work, training and technical assistance, we are seeking to add up to two Action Researchers to our team! Action research seeks to pursue action and research outcomes at the same time. The practice of action research is responsive, emergent, participatory and requires critical reflection. We look forward to growing our team in this important way.

    Research Specialist - Program Evaluation (PVL #89708)

    We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to support the evaluation of opioid-related prevention and treatment grants. The principal duties of the Research Specialist will include coordinating the collection, implementation, analysis, and maintenance of data for evaluation purposes, including conducting interviews with individuals in recovery. Experience with SPSS and an interest in substance abuse prevention and/or treatment a plus!

    WWBIC is a growing organization with evolving needs.  We are currently recruiting for individuals to support our mission in the following capacities. 

    Database Analyst – Milwaukee, WI

     

    This full-time position is responsible for collecting and reporting on client data and providing technical support for the operation and integration of WWBIC’s client information systems.  Specific responsibilities include maintaining WWBIC’s Outcome Tracker database giving special attention to data integrity, maintaining a library of queries and reports, analyzing business statistics, and process system improvements. In addition, the Analyst will coordinate client surveys & follow up, lead the project management of WWBIC website maintenance and updates and train internal users on effective use of data management tools.

     

    This position requires a passion for data management and the ability to analyze data to enhance program outcomes.  A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 3-5 years solid work experience in information data management, and the ability to organize, synthesize and evaluate large volumes and data and information are required. Must have extensive computer literacy, including demonstrated database experience and strong Microsoft Office skills (particularly intermediate/advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel).  Demonstrated project management skills, strong analytical skills, detail orientation, and the ability to manage ambiguity and work under pressure to meet deadlines are necessary.
