The Corporation for National Community Service (CNCS) is seeking qualified individuals to participate in peer reviews for the 2014 AmeriCorps State and National Grant competitions. In addition to individuals with expertise in specific focus areas, CNCS is actively seeking reviewers with advanced experience in program and project evaluation. The attached flyer describes CNCS' peer review process and the necessary qualifications for peer reviewers. Anyone interested in participating as a peer reviewer should send an email to PeerReviewers@cns.gov and use the subject line "Evaluation Experience - AmeriCorps Review." CNCS will respond with information on how to proceed.

MDRC is looking to hire graduate students to help with a U.S. Department of Labor sponsored research project. MDRC is a non-profit social policy research organization based in New York City. The project is a multi-site evaluation of subsidized and transitional jobs programs serving low-income target populations. The program in Milwaukee is operated by YWCA and serves low-income, non-custodial parents who owe child support. One component of the study is longitudinal qualitative interviews. The plan is to interview 8 participants at different points in time with the aim of getting a better understanding of the lives of participants from program enrollment to about 6 months out.
