MDRC is looking to hire graduate students to help with a
U.S. Department of Labor sponsored
research project. MDRC is a non-profit social policy research organization based in New York City. The project is a multi-site evaluation of subsidized and transitional jobs programs serving low-income target populations. The program in Milwaukee is operated by YWCA and serves low-income, non-custodial parents who owe child support.
One component of the study is longitudinal qualitative interviews. The plan is to interview 8 participants at different points in time with the aim of getting a better understanding of the lives of participants from program enrollment to about 6 months out. See full
