    The Centro de la Comunidad Unida - United Community Center (UCC) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin is seeking a full-time Bilingual Evaluation Assistant. Reporting to the Project Administrator, Bilingual Evaluation Assistant provides support of project data collection and performance assessment as well as implementation of the evaluation plan. Coordinates activities with Internal Evaluation Specialist and shares timely data/communication as needed. Assist with implementation and training for local evaluation. Provide timely collection of TRAC/NOMS and local evaluation to Internal Evaluation Specialist. Complete data entry of evaluation data.

    The Alliance for Strong Families and Communities is partnering with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) and the Norlien Foundation on athree-year project to identify best practices for transforming organizational services as well as the policies that serve as barriers to using brain science effectively on the front lines of social services to advance positive impact for children, adults, and families in the U.S. and Canada.Please see the RFP seeking an evaluator (or team) to evaluate the project here:http://alliance1.org/sites/default/files/PDF/rwjrfpevaluation_final.pdf.     The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction announces opening of a new position, a program evaluation consultant for student services/prevention and wellness programs. This position will provide leadership in developing and implementing high quality evaluations of statewide and targeted initiatives in school safety, violence prevention, children’s mental and behavioral health, and related areas.     Low-Cost RCT Competition Webinar on January 21, 2015

    On January 21, the Coalition for Evidence-Based Policy will hold an optional webinar for prospective applicants to its Low-Cost Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) Competition. The latest funding announcement for the competition, which is designed to select and fund low-cost RCTs aimed at building policy-important evidence about "what works" in social spending, was released by the Coalition in December. Three-page Letters of Interest will be accepted through February 13.

    The optional webinar will take place on Wednesday, January 21, from 2:00 - 3:00 ET, and will offer practical advice on preparing a successful proposal. A key goal is to attract a diverse group of qualified applicants to the competition, including researchers of color. Please click here to register.

    You may now submit a proposal for consideration for Evaluation 2015 taking place November 9-14 in Chicago, Illinois. AEA invites all who are involved in evaluation to share their best work in evaluation theory or practice. With more than 3,000 colleagues anticipated to attend this year’s conference, take advantage of this opportunity to present to evaluation professionals from across the globe. Evaluation 2015 proposals are due by 11:59 p.m. ET on Monday, March 16, 2015.

    When creating your proposals, keep in mind this year’s theme—Exemplary Evaluations in a Multicultural World:Learning from Evaluation's Successes Across the Globe, which celebrates the International Year of Evaluation. In 2015, AEA will focus on exemplary evaluations enabling evaluation environments, evaluation policies, evaluation theories and methods, and research on evaluation from a range of cultures and regions throughout the world.
