     CCHE Affiliates and Health Equity Investigators~

    The Center is excited to share an employment opportunity with the UW Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (ICTR)!

    UW ICTR is seeking an Evaluator to lead evaluation activities for the Institute in anticipation of a five year renewal application to the Clinical Translational Science Award (CTSA) from the National Institutes of Health. The incumbent will join a small team of evaluation specialists working on projects designed to evaluate the impact of the Institute. This position is vitally important to the CTSA and the CCHE mission of building partnerships and improving health equity in communities across Wisconsin!

    At least 5 years of successful and relevant experience and evidence of collaborative work with multiple stakeholders in higher education and/or medical settings is required. Skills in both qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods are necessary in diverse mixed methods environments.

    University of Wisconsin-Extension is seeking an evaluator who works in the Milwaukee area to assist with a round table discussion on March 23rd from 6:00-8:00pm at the Washington Park Senior Center (4420 W Vliet St, Milwaukee, WI 53208). The purpose is to discuss ways to strengthen STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education in Milwaukee County. Specifically, the objectives are to a) convene community on STEM Education; b) identify needs, strategies and resources and c) identify common goals and build partnerships. We expect a diverse group of teachers, school representatives, frontline staff, youth workers, organizations staff and administrative types of people to attend.

     

    As of now, this opportunity is a 6-hour time commitment and the evaluator will be paid $450. This covers two hours to prep with the team organizing the event, two hours to attend the event, and two hours of follow-up/debrief work.

    Deputy Director-Community Transformation (PVL #85410)
    We are looking for a talented individual to lead the community transformation work of the County Health Rankings & Roadmaps (CHR&R) program at the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute. The Deputy Director will refine the vision and strategies that will advance local work to build health based on CHR&R's guiding principles and will lead the production of the following activities to achieve that vision:

    • The Roadmaps to Health Action Center including leading state-of-the-art web-based guidance for community health improvement, instructional strategies (e.g. webinars, virtual learning communities), and personalized coaching support delivered by a nation-wide network of community coaches;
    • Community engagement work associated with the annual County Health Rankings release including state teams, funding opportunities, media, and other related activities;
    • Partnership strategies that align multi-sector partners with the CHR&R principles and support work to expand the portfolio of local leaders who  are implementing activities to improve health;
    • Network strategies to integrate and synergize work among the variety of national, state, and regional organizations and initiatives who are working to improve health within local communities; and
    • Dissemination strategies that maximize CHR&R's presence and contribution at national meetings, expert advisory groups and in the peer-reviewed and lay literature.

    Community Evaluation Coordinator - Research Scientist 2 Positions (Two people will be hired) - Job Opening ID 2367 Salary Range ($51,365 - $75,6980)

    These positions plan, design, implement and report on community health improvement assessments, evaluations, and surveillance activities. These positions will work closely with local grantees.

    These positions will be part of a team that implements an Evaluation and Monitoring System for the Statewide Health Improvement Program (SHIP) and will contribute to evaluation efforts to address health equity.

    This position will lead efforts to design, implement, analyze and report on evaluation and surveillance research in the areas of Statewide Health Improvement Program (SHIP) and focus areas of tobacco and obesity.

    This position will also advise the Office of Statewide Health Improvement Initiatives on research procedures and methodology to ensure appropriate research design, statistical approaches and reporting on data.

    A focus will be on measuring policy, systems and environmental changes, behavioral risk factors, chronic disease, health care cost outcomes and health equity.

    We are looking for a talented individual to lead the data and science work of the County Health Rankings & Roadmaps (CHR&R) program at the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute in a way that resonates with community leaders and drives them to action. The Deputy Director will refine the vision and strategies around use of data and evidence to build healthy communities and will lead the production of the following activities to achieve that vision:

    • The County Health Rankings, providing a reliable source of local data to communities to help them identify opportunities to improve their health.
    •  The County Health Rankings & Roadmaps website, integrating local data and tools and guidance to help communities build a Culture of Health, including What Works for Health, a nationally recognized resource to help find the most effective strategies for improving community health.
    •  Associated research and development including:
      • An extramural research program with researchers at organizations across the nation involving creative uses of Rankings data and methodological improvements, as well as work assessing how our services are used across the nation,
      • Intramural quantitative and qualitative research around population health assessment and community health improvement leading to publications for technical and non-technical audiences, and
