Free summer enrichment program focused on improving access to information and resources for college students interested in the health professions. SHPEP's goal is to strengthen the academic proficiency ad career development of students underrepresented in the health professions and prepare them for a successful application and matriculation to health professions schools. 

SHPEP is implemented at 12 universities across the nation. The two closest universities to Wisconsin are the University of Iowa and the University of Louisville. However, applicants have the opportunity to designate the sites they wish to apply, so students are free to apply to any of the other universities throughout the country. Each program provides a stipend to cover meals, travel assistance, and housing.
