GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Many of the community programs that United Way supports need additional resources to better meet the needs of children and families. To support this need, United Way of Dane County is seeking a full-time Assistant Director/Director of Strategic Collaborations to work in United Way’s Community Impact Department.  The Community Impact department supports the organization's investments in community programs, evaluation and reporting measures and community partner collaborations.  The Assistant Director/Director will be responsible for working to increase the scale and effectiveness of our priority initiatives that focus on housing, employment and basic needs through proposal development and continuous program monitoring and evaluation.  The position requires strong writing and project management skills, experience in proposal writing and knowledge of local community issues. Responsibilities will increase as your training and experience progress and match to your professional development goals.
