Black Birders Week is officially May 28 - June 3rd. As part of our commitment to activities that are restorative, we hope you attend this event. Nearby Nature is featuring a guided bird walk in Hopkins Hollow led by Sierra Taliaferro. You’ll remember Nearby Nature led the relaxation session during the Black Reparations & Evaluation Workshop last year and they gave the closing remarks in March at the Social Justice & Evaluation Conference. They are great! Join us this Sunday at 10am.
Bring your binoculars or borrow a pair from Nearby Nature. They will also discuss their summer plans for wildlife monitoring and restoration.
Please let them know if you are coming by signing-up here (not the MKEeval website).
This is important since Nearby Nature has a waiver that you need to sign. No evaluation programming or structured activity, just nature and you. Feel free to bring your kids.
